General Management
Why?
Many young graduates have acquired advanced technical knowledge in their field during their university studies. However, they rarely have the business and team management tools that would allow them to respond more adequately to the demands of the job market or to create their own company.
This program provides a comprehensive management training, a global vision of the company and updates knowledge in the key areas of management. It provides the opportunity to acquire management techniques that will maximize efficiency and the ability to assume new responsibilities.
How?
The training is based on active and pragmatic methods: interactive workshops in small groups, case studies, etc. These methods aim to acquire working tools, but also to learn how to use them.
To ensure a high quality education, HEC Liège has chosen professors recognized for their scientific and pedagogical skills and field specialists whose daily professional practice ensures a permanent update of knowledge.
For whom?
The training is aimed at academics from all backgrounds, looking for additional training that will enhance their basic knowledge in increasingly demanding companies.
It is also aimed at executives who want to progress in their company or give a new impetus to their career by acquiring a global vision of management and mastering management techniques and participative management immediately usable in their professional life.
Certificates / Title awarded
The candidate enrolled in one or more modules receives a certificate of attendance and/or completion for the courses attended and/or passed.
Title awarded : Master in Management with a specialization in general management.
After graduating with a Master's degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Liège in June 2019, I decided to throw myself body and soul into the world of work, and more specifically into the industrial sector. After a year in R&D, I wanted to progress and acquire more responsibilities, but I realized that my background in management and general management was insufficient, if not non-existent. So I decided to enroll in a staggered timetable course specially designed for my needs: a Master's degree in management sciences, specializing in general management. In addition to the promotion I received, which has enabled me to fully appreciate my current position as technical support manager for customers, it is above all the fundamental, enriching and highly instructive knowledge that I was able to assimilate over 2 years. I highly recommend this "complementary" master's degree as an aid/tool for anyone wishing to undertake a managerial life/position, whether to lead a team, set up their own company alone or in association, or manage their own projects. Whatever your initial training, this diploma will undoubtedly add another string to your bow.
