Why?

Because of the ubiquity of taxation, taxation is a key element in the management decisions of companies and individuals. Tax implications often determine the economic validity of management decisions. Therefore, they must be mastered perfectly by the company director and his advisors. European integration and globalization also increase the importance of international taxation. The complexity and rapid evolution of this subject justify the need for specific training and regular updates.

How?

The program is divided into two options: "Business (national and international aspects)" and "Heritage (national and international aspects)" and covers Belgian, European and international taxation, taught in a pragmatic way by the best specialists.

Because of the rapid evolution of tax laws, every specialist must also regularly update his knowledge. Update seminars are therefore added to the training.

For whom?

This program trains for the profession of tax consultant or certified tax specialist. It is intended for university graduates, chartered accountants and tax officials who wish to further their training in the field of taxation. It is also an undeniable asset for company auditors, lawyers, corporate auditors, executives and managers of accounting and financial departments.

Certificates / Title awarded

Candidates registered for one or more modules receive a certificate of attendance and/or successful completion for the courses attended and/or passed. These certificates are accepted by the OBFG. They entitle the holder to training points (60 OBFG points for the 1-year Master of Specialization).

Title awarded : Specialised Master in Tax Law

What our alumni say about it

Having worked as a tax expert for SPF Finances for three decades, I was keen to change career direction. With a Master's degree in law, the Master's specialization in tax law seemed an excellent springboard to enhance my past experience and open up new doors. The subjects covered cover a wide spectrum, and the support is written and, for most courses, backed up by a recording. The teachers are highly motivated and work as a real team. With students of all ages and backgrounds, it's a great way to mix and mingle. What's more, HEC Liège has a great atmosphere. This Master of Specialization has really enabled me to acquire new knowledge, while encouraging me to be even more rigorous.
