Lecturer in the field of Strategic and Sustainable Human Resource Management
Could you briefly describe your background, your research topics and your conception of university teaching?
Assistant Professor in Strategic and Sustainable Human Relations Management at HEC Liège - ULiège School of Management, Belgium, I hold a Master's degree in Work and Organizational Psychology (KULeuven) and a PhD in Business Economics (also KULeuven) in November 2018.
My main area of expertise is person-environment (PE) fit, with a focus on the temporal nature of fit and mismatch. As part of my PhD, I conducted a series of multi-level repeated measures studies on the causes and consequences of changes in people's experiences of adequacy and inadequacy at work. My current research focuses on the dynamic nature of person-environment (PE) fit, the use and misuse of PE fit as a system of assumptions and associated practices in human resource management, and the causes and consequences of mismatch.
My work has been published in international journals such as Journal of Organizational Behavior, Academy of Management Perspectives and Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, among others. I am also a regular contributor to several academic journals such as Applied Psychology: An International Review, International Journal of HRM, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations and HumanResourceManagement Journal.
Before joining Liège, I was an assistant professor at Deakin Business School in Melbourne, Australia. I have also been a visiting researcher at North-West University (South Africa), Stockholm University (Sweden), Deakin Business School (Australia), VU Amsterdam (Netherlands) and the University of Bamberg (Germany).
My teaching experience includes courses on a variety of HRM topics, such as strategic recruitment, human resources development, international HRM and strategic and sustainable HRM. My teaching is supported by relevant consultancy projects in performance management, talent assessment and leadership development in Europe, the USA, China, Singapore and the Middle East.
